Making Weddings More Accessible
At Lavender House Events, I believe every couple deserves a wedding day that feels like them — supported, celebrated, and stress-free. That belief is at the heart of two additions to my services: the Community Fund for LGBTQIA+ couples, and Cowork Discount for couples booking alongside photographer Meg Gorlick (ninetenphoto).
Here's what they are, why I created them, and how they work.
The Community Fund
A big portion of my heart (and my business) is dedicated to making weddings more accessible for LGBTQ+ couples. I started Lavender House Events because I love bringing people's love stories to life — and honestly, getting to work with queer couples is one of the best parts of what I do. There's something special about being part of a celebration where representation isn't an afterthought.
I want more of that. I want more queer couples to walk into their wedding planning feeling celebrated from the very first conversation, working with vendors who get it.
Every couple who books with me has the opportunity to add to the fund and "pay it forward" to the next queer couple looking for the support and representation everyone deserves. Booking with Lavender House Events means your celebration helps fuel someone else's — and that's exactly the kind of community I want to be building. ~people supporting people~
The Cowork Discount
Some of the best wedding days happen when your vendor team already knows how to work together. That's the idea behind the Cowork Discount: book Lavender House Events for day-of coordination and Meg Gorlick (ninetenphoto) for your photography, and you'll receive a 15% discount on your coordination AND photography fee.
Meg and I have worked together in the past, which means we already understand each other's rhythms — how to communicate on the day, how to keep the timeline moving without getting in each other's way, and how to problem-solve together when something inevitably shifts. For couples, that translates into less coordination you have to do, because we've already coordinated with each other.
Why I’m Doing This
Both of these come from the same place: wanting to remove friction and add value wherever I can. Whether that's making coordination financially accessible for LGBTQIA+ couples, or making your day easier by pairing vendors who already work well together, my goal is the same — a wedding day where you can actually be present, instead of managing logistics.
If either of these applies to you, mention it when you reach out, and I'll walk you through the details.
